What damage could occur to a LCD monitor if a RCA plug for "Audio" was put into a "Video" jack?
I have a 15" Magnavox LCD TV/Monitor. A friend tried to hook up a wireless "Spy Cam" receiver and put an AUDIO OUT plug into a VIDEO IN terminal... now the screen is out of whack, not as bright as it should be and the colors, contrast and hue are all over the place. The digital information (ie; the channel, volume level, and menu displays are clear)
Is it possible that plugging an incorrect RCA jack could damage the picture quality?
Tried adjusting all settings from low to high, used it as a computer monitor, TV, and from a DVD player....same dim result from all types of input.
Please help. Thanks.
try degaussing (demagnetizing) the monitor .....in the monitor's settings
